Demoski was sentenced to jail time and restitution for the horrific events during last year’s Iditarod involving mushers, Jeff King and Aily Zirkle when he tried to harm them and their dogs while drunk with his snow machine.

A Louisiana Grandfather applying for 190 mile trek by dog sled. The trek will travel between Norway and Sweden above the Arctic Circle. Walter Herrmann III needs your vote since only the top vote getter automatically goes. Walter Herrmann III was Born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is 60 years old and is seeking a great adventure. He has raised and competed with his Samoyed dogs for over 30 years in many different venues including dog sledding. A retail and wholesale executive in the furniture industry for over 42 years, he is the father of two daughters and one grandson and is married to Sheila Nixon Herrmann . The voting process will begin on November 16th at that time there will be a link created to vote. It cost nothing to vote and you do not share any personal information. Walter has stated, “If you ever dreamed of doing something extraordinary and adventurous then you understand how I feel. Please do me the honor of giving me your vote to help make this happen.” Fjallraven outdoor equipment company, founded in 1960, is the organizer of the Fjallraven Polar. For the event, “they wanted to take ordinary people with ordinary jobs and give them a chance to discover how amazing outdoor life is in the winter and wanted to demonstrate that anyone can experience the great adventure of a lifetime as long as they have the right knowledge and equipment.” In order to meet the challenge Walter has been training at Athletic Republic almost two years. To quote Shaan Duke Master trainer, ” Walter is an inspiration to our young athletes.”
