Dog Works Radio

On a quiet Saturday morning in late January 2009, Dog Works Radio recorded its very first episode in the lobby of our training center. No studio. No roadmap. Just a microphone, a belief that education matters, and a commitment to show up.

Seventeen years later, that commitment hasn’t wavered.

Never Missed a Week

Since day one, Dog Works Radio has never missed a weekly episode. Through growth, setbacks, changing platforms, and a rapidly evolving media landscape, the mission stayed the same: practical, honest conversations about dogs, training, behavior, and the people who care about them.

That consistency is the foundation everything else is built on.

2025 by the Numbers

Last year was one of our strongest yet, not because of hype, but because listeners kept coming back.

Those numbers matter, but what matters more is what they represent. Trainers driving to early sessions. Families trying to do right by their dogs. Professionals looking for better answers than quick fixes and viral advice.

From a Lobby to a Global Audience

What started in a small lobby has become a global conversation. Dog Works Radio now reaches listeners on every continent, yet the heart of the show hasn’t changed. We still focus on real-world reliability, ethical training, thoughtful leadership, and respect for the dog-human relationship.

We don’t chase trends. We don’t talk down to listeners. We don’t simplify what deserves nuance.

That approach is why the show has lasted.

The Power of Long-Term Thinking

Seventeen years in podcasting is rare. Doing it without missing a week is rarer still.

The lesson we’ve learned mirrors what we teach about dogs: consistency compounds. Show up. Do the work. Keep your standards. Trust builds over time.

That mindset carried Dog Works Radio through platform shifts, algorithm changes, and the rise and fall of countless shows that burned bright and disappeared just as fast.

Thank You for Being Part of the Pack

As we celebrate our 17-year anniversary on January 26, 2026, we’re deeply grateful to every listener, guest, sponsor, and supporter who has tuned in over the years.

Whether you’ve been with us since the lobby days or found us last week, you’re part of this story.

And we’re just getting started.

What’s Next

In 2026, Dog Works Radio will continue to do what it’s always done best:

  • Publish consistently

  • Go deeper than surface-level advice

  • Elevate voices that care about outcomes, not shortcuts

  • Serve the dog community with honesty and respect

Thank you for listening. Thank you for trusting us. And thank you for being part of 17 years of Dog Works Radio.
