Shows

dogworks_radioStarting on August 1, 2014 at 12:00 pm Alaska Standard Time (4:00 pm EST) the brand new 24-hour Dog Works Radio Network will launch!

This 24-hour radio station that is all about dogs is the only one of its kind in the world. It has been years in the making and we are proud to say that we have a great line up of shows and guests from all over North America.  Our shows bring our listeners into the wonderful world of working dogs. We share our stories, training advice and antedotes from years of working and living with our canine companions.

The station will air right here on DogWorksRadio.com and very soon on our very own iPhone app. Each show has their own day on the network with episodes airing in a 24 hour cycle. Throughout the day “best of” episodes will be aired randomly and the live shows will be aired at their normal time (ie. The Sibe Vibe on Sundays at 9 am Alaska time).

Earlier this year we passed our one millionth download of our shows and we are proud to say that we have built a loyal listener base from all over the world.

You can find out more about our shows, what people are chatting about and comments on our Facebook page and following us on Twitter too.

What our guests are saying about our shows:

” Dear Robert and Alex. Wow! We just finished listening to the whole podcast for tonight (30 minutes would never have begun to be enough time!!!) Thank you for your thoughtful, smart sharing of not only the “facts” but also being willing to look at some of the additional social issues and dynamics at work. We spent the day following closely on social media, Insider, etc, but knew that we would want to hear what you guys said. You did not disappoint. Thanks!”

Patti Christensen and Richard

“It’s almost time for your final Iditarod broadcast/podcast and I just wanted to thank you for being on the air each and every night throughout this year’s fabulous race. I eagerly await your broadcast each evening–it is hands down the best and most professionally produced Iditarod podcast out there. I’ve tried out others and always come back to “Mush You Huskies”.

Katrina K., Listener

“Great shows, always interesting.”

Shirley Yarbrough

“Thank you for your ongoing coverage of this great event… love learning more about all the details that may present themselves as the race goes on. Good Luck to All the Teams and will be cheering for Hugh Neff ALL THE WAY TO NOME!”

Sharon Pauley

This is a great resource! I’ll be following from now on.”

Lois C Greene

“Glad I discovered your show this year. Thanks!”

Cheryl Pochapin

“Hi Robert, It was so fun to talk with you during our interview. (Plus I love listening to your interviews) So many of my friends have listened to it and they’ve loved it!! I’d like to send you a copy of my book if you don’t have one already. Could you send me your address and I can send you a signed copy.” Take care, Andrea

Hi Robert and Alex–

YAY YAY YAY YAY–Thank you for the advance copy of Mush! The Movie. I am beyond excited and cannot wait to see it. The trailer and all of the information that I have read on-line about the movie is very exciting.

Sure enjoyed your wrap up show last night and must say that I am feeling a bit out of sorts tonight without your broadcast to listen to. It’s always a bit of a “withdrawal” period after the Iditarod.”

“I really enjoyed talking with you this evening- it’s so beneficial to talk with someone like yourself who is an expert with dogs. You’ve made my week!”

Martin Hubbard, Co-founder, blanket ID

“It was a pleasure working with Robert on his Dog Works Radio Show. He obviously cares a lot about the well being of dogs and knows how important training is…not only for the dogs, but for the owners as well. His continuous work in educating pet owners on how to be the best pet owner they can be is commendable. I’d be Robert’s guest on Dog Works Radio again in a heartbeat.”

Jillian Myers, Owner/The Big Dawg, Healthy Paws

“Robert Forto was the first person to jump at the chance to interview me about my book “Good Grief: Finding Peace After Pet Loss” on his Dog Doctor Radio Show. His open-hearted enthusiasm is infectious, his follow-through on promised actions is impressive, and the support he gives colleagues’ endeavors is commendable. I am thrilled to have him as an associate into the future. He may have a book in the offing, and I hope to be able to lend my support (as an editor) to that project in the near future. Keep an eye on this guy. He’s a mover and shaker, to be sure!”
