Panter, knows what its like to be on the inside looking out. As a former offender he had an idea when he was serving time; “How can I do something with my life to make a difference?”
He acted on that dream and Georgia Jailhouse Dogs became a reality. It is a program that partners shelter dogs that are on “death row” with offenders in county jails and through training and rehabilitation provides each of them a new path in life, both for the dog and the offender.
The program provides training and adoption services for the dogs and valuable job and life skills for offenders. “It is a win-win situation,” says Panter.
