Join host Dorothy Wills-Raftery as she welcomes Buddy, the Christmas Husky and his foster mom, Shari “Mama Shay” Baillargeon to The Sibe Vibe.
Buddy, the Christmas Husky was our first Christmas guest dating back to December 2012, when Shari first guested on The Sibe Vibe. (To listen to this show, visit: https://dogworksradio.com/2012/12/09/the-sibe-vibe-presents-buddy-the-christmas-husky/). Since then, Buddy’s story has traveled far and wide, inspiring others along the way to help a dog in need. He now has almost 20,000 Facebook fans and a popular book written by our show’s host Dorothy Wills-Raftery called Buddy, the Christmas Husky~A True Holiday Miracle, illustrated by artist Barbara K. Slocum. It is about one Siberian Husky’s journey from abuse and abandonment to rescue and love, thanks to an entire online community of pet lovers from across the globe! Named “Best in Print” by American Pet Magazine for 2015 & 2016, Dorothy also donates a portion from each sale toward Buddy’s ongoing healthcare through the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
On today’s episode, we catch up with Buddy and Mama Shay to see what’s been going on for the past four years, how Buddy’s health is today, the meaning behind the #TravelingHuskies hashtag, and all about their road trip from Georgia to New York to meet Dorothy for a book signing and meet-and-greet!
Tune in to hear Buddy’s continuing story about compassion, love, and a caring pet community that depicts the Christmas spirit all year through!

I am in Canada and have been following Buddy’s life since the day Geneva rescued him in 2011. I have read his book many times and never get tired of reading his story. Today Buddy is loved by so many people. Many of them are so generous and donate regularly to his paypal medical fund. He posts on his page on a daily basis which include funny videos and inspiring stories. I Just Love Buddy so much.
