Wheeler is the race manager for the Don Bowers Memorial Sled Dog Race that will be held on January 18, 2013 starting in Willow, Alaska.
The Don Bowers race is a qualifying race for the Iditarod and Yukon Quest and they run both a 200 and 300 mile races. On this episode we talk about the history of the race, Don Bowers, lots of information for rookies and qualifying races for the Iditarod.

How brilliant, really enjoying listening to these shows. Not enough snow here for sleds in the UK, so have to make do with two dogs and a mountain bike.
