Berkowitz a native of the Twin Cities in Minnesota got his start in the mushing world by running tours with a sled dog kennel in Michigan. Running his first Iditarod in 2008, now Berkowitz is helping others fulfill their dreams of running the Last Great Race while they work with Jake’s Apex Kennels in Big Lake, Alaska.
