Join hosts Robert Forto and Alex Stein as we welcome Iditarod veteran, DeeDee Jonrowe to Mushing Radio.
DeeDee, a veteran of 30 Iditarods has ran the race since 1980. I can not think of a better ambassador to the sport of mushing that her. Her passion shows as she talks about the sport and how it has evolved since the early years. We spoke about changes in nutrition for the dogs, the sleds and equipment and even the musher’s clothing gear. DeeDee talks about how she spoke to the native people of Alaska and what they wear in developing her own clothing.
We also spoke about the sport of mushing and the changing landscape of the sport. This is an interview that any fan of mushing, or dogs in general will not want to miss.
