Anjanette Steer

Join host Robert Forto as he welcomes 2012 Iditarod rookie, Anjanette Steer to Mushing Radio.

Steer, running her first Iditarod in 2012 was more than prepared. Having run dogs since 2001 with her sights set on the Iditarod, she prepared and planned like a veteran. Running many races including winning the 2012 Northern Lights 300 sled dog race she said she was ready to run the big race.

Steer and her husband, Zack (a veteran of six Iditarods) run the Sheep Mountain Lodge and spend their summers catering to guests at their place along the Glenn Highway in Alaska. Who could ask for a better lifestyle?
