ANCHORAGE, AK: Attention dog lovers, Dog Works Radio has something new for you to listen to on your early morning walks.
Dog Works Radio has a podcast called The Daily Dog, that launched January 1. It is hosted by lead trainer of Alaska Dog Works Michele Forto and features dog training tips and tricks, helpful advice, dogs in the news, and more.
“The inspiration for the podcast was to shine a light on the amazing world of dogs through telling stories and giving pet owners advice that is relevant to their dogs’ daily lives,” said Robert Forto, the executive producer at Dog Works Radio. “The central idea was to help folks that have questions about their dogs.”
The Daily Dog is part of the larger Dog Works Radio network, which was launched in early 2009 in the early days of podcasting and the flagship show covers in-depth topics about our loyal companions, as well as coverage of dog powered sports and working dogs.
The specific target audience is all dog owners. Everybody loves stories about dogs, don’t they? Listeners can expect, short, usually five or ten minute episodes, that cover topics like trail etiquette when hiking with your dog, how to deal with fireworks on the 4thof July, breed profiles, training trends in dog training, and much more.
“This podcast is the opportunity to extend our reach further to be a go-to source for everything that shines a light on the superpowers of dogs,” said Michele Forto.
Dog Works Radio is promoting the podcast on their social media channels and encouraging people to share stories about what is special about dogs.
For every post including the hashtag #dailydog, Dog Works Radio will donate a bowl of dog food, up to 5,000 bowls, to pets awaiting adoption.
