April Cox

Join host Robert Forto as he welcomes mid-distance musher and Siberian Husky breeder, April Cox to Mushing Radio.

Cox, of Adin California, is training for several mid-distance races for the 2012-2013 racing season including: a race in West Yellowstone, MT as well as a 100-miler in Oregon.

Running with a pure-breed Siberian Husky team, Cox pays particular attention to what these amazing athletes are bred to do. The Siberian is not just a pretty dog but a force to be reckoned with on the trail.

This year Cox hopes to refine her skills as a distance musher by doing several camping trips with her Huskies as well as many night runs.

On this show we talk about Siberians (of course!), promoting the sport in local communities and super-fans!
